Namasté Alzheimer Center was named one of the Best Nursing Homes by U.S. News & World Report for their 2016-17 report. This is the second year that Namasté has received this national honor. Fewer than 13% of nursing homes achieved the “Best” status. This year the award was based on new and even more demanding standards for the program that included how homes perform over time and to determine whether a home provides appropriate rehabilitation services. Just over 2,000 nursing homes earned this prestigious designation of a U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home.
According to Michelle Brozowski, Administrator of Namasté, the Center was the first in the nation to be exclusively for Alzheimer and dementia residents. Staff members participate and become certified through the Leaders in Dementia Care Training Program through the Alzheimer’s Association.
“This honor along with our Five Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is a tribute that recognizes and the exemplifies our staff and the care they provide on a consistent basis to our residents,” said Brozowski. “We have a passion for our mission to improve lives and our community with reverence for all creation, integrity in all we do, compassion for those we serve and their families, and excellence by putting forth our personal and professional best.”
Namasté Alzheimer Center works exclusively with memory care patients. To learn more call 719-442-4240 or go to homeishere.org.
